Questions

Where do the covers come from?

From Open Library, a free book catalogue, using the ISBN of your edition. No account or login is needed. If a book has no cover there, paste any image link into the Cover link column.

Which versions of Excel work?

Excel for Microsoft 365 and Excel 2024 on Windows and Mac do everything, covers included. Excel 2016 to 2021 do everything except the covers, which need the newer IMAGE function. Google Sheets: in Google Drive choose New, then File upload, pick the file, open it and choose File, then Save as Google Sheets.

Can I look back at a past year?

Yes. Type the year at the top of the Dashboard and every page switches to it.

Can I add my own genres?

Yes, on the Lists tab. The dropdowns update right away.

Do I need a Google account?

Only to use it in Google Sheets. In Excel it is a normal file on your computer.
