Safe Zone Checker
Free Offline Tool to Test Reels, TikTok and Shorts Frames
Every app draws its own buttons, captions and progress bar over a 9:16 video, each in a different place. These overlays show where, so text, logos and faces land where nothing covers them. Put one on top of your edit, check the frame, and switch it off before you export.
48 transparent PNG files for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut and Canva.
Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat Spotlight, LinkedIn and Pinterest, plus Safe everywhere, which clears all of them, and one zone for Reels, TikTok and Shorts together.
Outline shows only the safe area. UI mock darkens the unsafe area and draws simple buttons and captions where the app puts them.
3:4, 4:5 and 1:1 guides for covers, so the title still reads on a profile grid.
1080x1920 and 2160x3840 (4K), 48 transparent PNG files.
One PDF page with every zone in pixels.
An offline page where you drop a frame or a video and it marks text that sits under an app's UI.
Pick an overlay: 01 Safe everywhere if you post to several apps, or the file for your app.
Put it on the top track above your footage, from the 1080x1920 folder for HD or the 4K folder for 2160x3840.
Keep text, logos and faces inside the white outline.
Turn the overlay off before you export.
Posting one video to several apps: Safe everywhere. Only Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube: the Reels, TikTok and Shorts zone, which leaves you more room. One app: that app's file.
Only if you leave it on. Turn the clip or track off before you export; the guide shows how in each editor. In Final Cut Pro you can load it as a custom overlay, which never exports.
Yes. Use the 2160x3840 folder. Every number doubles.
From each platform's own help pages and template files, checked in October 2026: Meta's Reels specs for Instagram and Facebook, TikTok's In-Feed safe zone file, Google's YouTube vertical overlay, Snap's creative best practices and Pinterest's Video Pin specs. Snapchat prints no side margins and LinkedIn prints no numbers at all, so those zones use careful margins of our own, and the guide says so.
When a platform changes its published numbers, we update the pack, and the new files show up in your Gumroad library.
Yes, in your own videos and in work for clients. Please do not resell or share the files.
